Sunnova Energy is searching for a Logistics Planner is responsible for ensuring the efficient movement and storage of goods and materials within the supply chain. Responsibilities involve creating and implementing logistics plans, collaborating with internal teams and external partners, and monitoring shipments to ensure timely delivery.
An ideal candidate should be flexible, quick-thinking, and able to adapt to dynamic environments. The individual must be familiar with logistics software, data analytics tools, and automation. They should have proven experience in leveraging technology to increase efficiency. This position requires the ability to be resourceful and find creative solutions to optimize logistics.
Responsibilites
- Develop and implement logistics plans and procedures to optimize the storage, distribution, and transportation of goods.
- Collaborate with internal team members and external partners to ensure seamless logistics operations.
- Monitor inventory levels and adjust logistics plans as needed.
- Coordinate resources effectively to maximize efficiency and minimize costs.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors and service team.
- Understand business needs and align logistics operations accordingly.
- Evaluate logistics operations regularly to identify areas for improvement.
- Implement necessary changes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Maintain accurate records of all logistics activities.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations related to logistics operations.
- Conduct advanced data analysis, focusing on transportation costs and service metrics.
- Prepare detailed reports and presentations, translating complex data into actionable insights for senior management and stakeholders.
- Provide leadership in troubleshooting and crisis management situations related to logistics.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of proven experience in logistics planning and management.
- Expertise in logistics software and systems.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational abilities and multitasking skills.
- Knowledge of relevant regulations.
- Problem-solving aptitude and attention to detail.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with a team.
- Excellent critical thinking, problem-solving, mathematical skills, and sound judgment.
- Strong ability to work cooperatively with internal and external groups to achieve objectives.
- Strong organization, planning and leadership skills are required.
- Consistent track record of delivering timely and accurate results in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexibility to travel for up to 10-15% of the time.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in optimizing processes and achieving results in a startup environment is a definite advantage.
- Experience in identify risks, creating contingency plans, and mitigating potential disruptions.
- Experience developing lean processes, reducing waste, and streamlining operations.
