Job Description

Schneider Electric’s NAM Microgrid Hub has established a Partner Channel Sales Manager – Key Accounts role reporting to the Partner Strategy & Sales Leader in order to rapidly grow the channel go-to-market, focused on the EcoStruxure Microgrid Flex Offer Suite.  This role will focus on 3 key pillars:

 

  • Generating MG orders and achieve targets
    • Driving & Tracking Key Account Pipeline, Sales leadership and support for partner go-to market activities, Coordinate certification efforts and Trainings for EcoStruxure Microgrid Flex
  • Lead Partner Onboarding & Facilitate appropriate partner on-going trainings and order growth
  • New Partner Evaluation & Qualification

 

Additional Responsibilities

  • Manage & track monthly reporting on pipeline & orders at assigned accounts
  • Manage & track monthly reporting on trainings completed by Channel Partners
  • Champion a team selling approach, acting as a liaison between customers, internal SE sales teams, and technical/offer teams
  • Work in conjunction with Regional Sales Leaders to identify & educate potential partners in focused regions on EcoStruxure Microgrid Flex & Channel Partner Program
  • Lead Technology Demonstrations & drive thought leadership at conferences & other events
  • Support project specific engineering & quotation for Microgrid Flex based solutions for assigned accounts
  • Ensure end user satisfaction by ensuring clearly scoped proposals
  • Track opportunities that were not a fit for Microgrid Flex as key input for offer roadmap evolution and create warm handoff to Engineered To Order (ETO) sales/support teams
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of customer needs, challenges, and pain points – documenting and presenting feedback to the offer roadmap based on quantified business opportunity
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, market dynamics, legislation/policies, and emerging technologies in microgrids, solar, energy storage, other distributed energy resources (DER)

 

Skills

  • Excellent sales, negotiation, and business development skills
  • Strong ability to leverage CRM tools (Salesforce or similar) to manage, drive & report pipeline to leadership
  • Effectively communicate sales pipeline, strategies, and performance updates to leadership
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to think strategically, analyze market trends, and identify business opportunities
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strategic channel partnerships
  • Electrical distribution equipment experience, Battery Energy Storage Systems, & other renewable energy technologies

 

Candidate Requirements

  • 4 Year Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent is required, preferably in engineering
  • 3-5 Years of Sales Experience
  • Minimum of 2 years of channel experience
  • 3-5 Years of Experience in the Renewable Energy Industry, with preference for direct experience in solar photovoltaics and/or battery energy storage systems

 

Candidate Preferences

  • Master’s Degree in business or engineering related fields
  • Certified Energy Manager (CEM) and/or other Energy Related Professional Certifications
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of microgrid technologies, EPCs, solar and electrical contractors, and DER technology players

 

Applicants should expect up to 50% of travel. This position can be based out of the following Schneider Electric Hubs:

  • Andover, MA (NAM R&D HQ)
  • Franklin, TN (Nashville Hub)
  • Schaumburg, IL (Chicago Hub)
  • Dallas, TX (Dallas Hub)
