Duties and Responsibilities
  • Assembling high-pressure tubing and electro-mechanical process control components (such as valves and fittings) 
  • Fabricating brackets, stands and other custom-designed metal components
  • Safely conducting pressure and leak testing of completed assemblies
  • Testing supplied components for quality and conformance
  • Completing production records such as inspection test reports, material traceability logs, and as-built assembly drawings 
  • Receiving and maintaining component inventory and shop supplies
  • Preparing equipment for shipment
  • Maintaining a clean and safe working environment
Skills and Experience  - Required
  • Post-secondary technical education
  • Able to read mechanical drawings
  • Strong verbal communication and teamwork skills
  • Strong attention to process and detail
  • Experience with mechanical assembly in a manufacturing environment
Skills and Experience  - Preferred
  • Experience with pipefitting and/or compression fittings
  • Experience in steel fabrication techniques (welding, machining, forming, cutting, grinding, etc.)
  • Working with pressurized gases or fluids, hydrogen in particular
  • Ability to drive a forklift
  • Good knowledge of safety and WHMIS regulations
