Schneider Electric has an opportunity for a HVAC/Security Service Specialist III in our Las Vegas, NV location.

What do you get to do in this position? 

This position is typically held by an individual that has at least 4 years of experience as a Service Specialist with related industry knowledge and demonstrated communication skills for interfacing directly with customers and other trades

 This individual should have experience with HVAC and security installations and be proficient in all types of building systems and applications of our technology

 Shall be capable of coordinating other project team activities on-site, including coordination with other trades, commissioning agents, and customers

This position is responsible for project coordination, safety, installation, checkout, commissioning, and troubleshooting

 Ensures that daily activities on-site for projects are completed and regular progress on projects is communicated to the project manager

This employee typically works under the daily supervision of a Field Service Supervisor and reports to the Field Service Manager

Responsibilities Include

  • Develops and implements hardware selections and software applications for assigned customers
  • Manages scheduled maintenance agreements
  • Troubleshoot and compare customers systems
  • Requests and delivers material as required
  • Coordinate activities, oversee subcontractors to meet specifications and schedule when necessary
  • Create, load, and test system databases
  • Coach and mentor junior level service personnel
  • Check out, start up and commission systems for proper operation
  • Provide on-site training to customers as needed
  • Suggest system improvements, modifications, etc
  • Perform warranty work
  • Complete documentation for assigned tasks
  • Software experience is a plus to perform controls sequence modifications. Protocols: LonWorks and/or BACnet (INET, VISTA, CONTINUUM, I/A, Eco-Struxure is a plus)
  • Repair and reconfigure control system equipment, including conduit, wire and field devices
  • Diagnose communication problems and install control devices and other components
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot software and hardware issues
  • Troubleshoot and verify correct operation of equipment and field devices
  • Develop graphics and custom list views
  • Provides emergency and warranty service as required
  • Provide technical support to other team members
  • Troubleshooting video surveillance and access control systems
  • Other duties may be assigned
