Climate Change/ Carbon Credit Expert (m/f/d)

A JOB THAT INSPIRES YOU
You will work in our multidisciplinary Sustainable Energy Team and focus on the management of Sustainable Energy Projects, primarily in the area of carbon markets.
Your main tasks will be:
  • Lead and manage the implementation of carbon credit projects, including carbon offsetting, carbon neutrality, and carbon footprint calculations;
  • Support in the elaboration of technical proposals;
  • Work closely with clients to understand their business objectives, sustainability targets, and carbon management needs;
  • Develop and implement carbon management strategies based on clients' overall sustainability goals and objectives (e.g. support with SBTi and Paris alignment);
  • Conduct carbon footprint assessments, including data collection, analysis, and reporting for projects and companies based on internally
    accepted GHG management and reporting standards (e.g. ISO 14.064, GHG Protocol for Corporates)
A BACKGROUND THAT CONVINCES US
  • University degree in engineering or related scientific degree;
  • At least 5 – 8 years of working experience in similar positions;
  • Experience in the carbon markets, GHG management, ETS, and international standards for measurement and verification; 
  • Knowledge of the main GHG database and archive;
  • Experience in the energy sector;
  • Commercial awareness and good communication skills with a high degree of flexibility;
  • Fluency in English and additional French language skills are considered an added value;
  • Advanced user of MS Teams and databases;
  • The ideal candidate is straightforward, highly motivated, and interested to learn more about the technical part of the energy sector.
​Besides your technical skills, you are communicative, responsible, and ready to travel abroad if necessary. 
You like to look for innovative solutions, learn new technologies, and take up challenges.
