About Wolt

Wolt is a Helsinki-based technology company that provides an online platform for consumers, merchants and couriers. It connects people looking to order food and other goods with people interested in selling and delivering them. To enable this, Wolt develops a wide range of technologies from local logistics to retail software and financial solutions – as well as operating its own grocery stores under the Wolt Market brand. Wolt’s products include Wolt+ (subscription service for customers), Wolt for Work (meal benefits and office deliveries for companies), Wolt Drive (fast last-mile deliveries for merchants) and Wolt Self-Delivery (service for merchant partners with their own delivery staff). Wolt’s mission is to make cities better by empowering and growing local communities. Wolt was founded in 2014 and joined forces with DoorDash in 2022. DoorDash operates in 29 countries today, 25 of which are with the Wolt product and brand.

Job Description

Do you live and breathe sustainability data? If helping one of Europe’s fastest growing companies build a global ESG reporting system and collecting data from 25 countries sounds like an exciting challenge, keep reading.

Wolt is a Finnish technology company and we’re best known for our food delivery platform. Since 2015 we’ve been conquering the food delivery scene step by step. However, food delivery was just the start.

In 2022 we launched our Woltwide sustainability strategy - Better Cities delivered, focused on delivering real impact across five key pillars: Climate, Waste, Partners, People and Customer Choice. Since then, we’ve made some exciting progress: We’ve launched the better cities fund, we’ve kick-started reusable packaging programmes in 12 countries and we’ve even tried our hand at hiring refugees, among other things. But as we get even more serious about sustainability, we’re also gearing up to properly measure and share our progress with the world through the development of our first global CSRD compliant sustainability report, in partnership with DoorDash, in 2026.

As part of a global team of 5 people, we’re looking for a self-starter to help us identify and collect relevant sustainability reporting data across all aspects of our operations, and all of our Wolt countries. This individual will help us to build a solid global data reporting system and make strategic recommendations on how we can gradually improve our sustainability approach so that we can live up to our ambitions of being the best.

In this role, you'll get to:

  • Work cross-functionally with various teams including sustainability, communications, procurement, finance, accounting, operations and their counterparts at DoorDash to understand what data flows we have to collect in order to develop a CSRD compliant report in 2026 (based on 2025 data)

  • Conduct a gap analysis of what data and performance can be measured today vs what cannot

  • Identify, build and refine data collection processes and systems to collect relevant data points across all Wolt countries

  • Train relevant stakeholders globally to ensure that they can meet deadlines and quality standards for reporting sustainability data

  • Lead annual GHG inventory process for Wolt in partnership with Watershed (our climate accounting partner)

  • Oversee development of data collection process for first global sustainability report for Wolt starting in 2025 for the 2026 reporting period

  • Provide recommendations to the sustainability and leadership teams on areas for improvement based on the outcomes of the reporting

Qualifications

  • 2+ years prior experience as an accountant, auditor or sustainability reporting specialist

  • Demonstrable knowledge of the new EU CSRD reporting requirements, Global Reporting Initiative or other relevant global sustainability reporting standards and technological systems

  • Experience with carbon accounting software and tools such as Watershed or similar

  • Passion for working with data and problem solving

  • Excellent project management and communication skills, and ability to multitask

  • Team player attitude, including a will to learn and will to teach

  • Ability to work cross functionally with a variety of diverse stakeholders at multiple levels

  • Previous experience working in a high growth tech environment is an advantage
