The EH&S Coordinators in a Manufacturing environment, primary focus is to protect employees, customers, the organization and the environment by ensuring compliance to regulatory requirements, as well as, identifying potentially hazardous and unsafe operational conditions. this position inspects and evaluates the work environment, hazardous chemicals/ storage/ shipping and processes at PPC. Additional jobs responsibilities will be provided upon interview process. 
Essential Duty & Responsibilities: 
Regulatory: Provide subject matter expertise in process Safety ensuring industry best practice.
  • Ensure alignment of environmental health and safety policies with local, state and federal regulations. 
  • Serve as a primary contact for all regulatory agencies for inspections, permitting and overseeing environmental plans and tracking all environmental permits. 
  • Maintain current rules and regulations and utilizing them to develop programs such as air quality, storm water, hazardous materials, business plans, pollution prevention and spill plans. Fork trucks, machine guarding, EMP, First aid/ AED, Respirator Programs, Bloodborne Pathogen Program. 
  • Ensure equipment and systems adhere to safety requirements as required. 
Evaluations/ Audit of Work Procedure and Processes:
  • Inspects to identify safety health and environmental risks, conducts safety audits and training programs.
  • Create/ conduct inspection schedules follow up with corrective action. 
  • Identify trouble areas where procedures/ machinery needs new design.
  • Develops and implements inspections policy and procedures for routine inspections. 
  • Develops and/ or reviews health and safety procedures/ policies for all areas of the company. Ensure all EHS goals are communicated properly. 
General Requirements: 
  • Actively supports and implements change projects and processes that support continuous improvement.
  • Manages competing priorities and assigns to assist in meeting target and timelines.
  • Active involved in the Safety Committee and maintaining of Conducts Safety inspection, investigations and safety meetings. 
  • Investigates all accidents, incidents and near misses. 
  • Ensure employees use prescribed and are trained on PPE.
  • Responsible for completing and submitting compliance reports 
  • Respond to call-in hazmat and safety issues. 
Required Qualifications: 
  • BA/BSc Degree in Safety Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Science or related area in preferred or equivalent work experience. 
  • A minimum of 5 years practical "hands on" manufacturing safety, inspection experience and experience in EH&S regulatory or management systems: and experience in regulatory and environment requirements associated with DOT, NEPA, DEEP, FDA and OSHA.
  • OSHA safety course and other safety certificates. 
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001:2008, ISO 13485:2003, GLP, cFMP,, FDA and other applicable standards.
