Environmental Supervisor
Description

The Environmental Supervisor will supervise onsite environmental remediation and spill cleanup operations in New Mexico and West Texas. He/she must have a strong commitment and understanding of safety, environmental standards, and state and local regulations. Operational knowledge of heavy equipment and contractor management is required. 


Additional job responsibilities include: 

  • Oversee and coordinate the work activities of contractors and heavy equipment operation. Supervisor is onsite during operations.
  • Assigns tasks and manages workflow for efficient operations
  • Inspects work completed to ensure that it meets all safety standards and regulations
  • Prepares daily reports detailing work activity and safety compliance
  • Records daily tickets of labor hours, heavy haul disposal and materials that are going to or leaving jobsites
  • Monitors environmental conditions and takes corrective action when necessary
  • Implements and enforces environmental policies and procedures
  • Coordinates with regulatory agencies to obtain permits and approvals
  • Stays current with new environmental regulations and updates policies and procedures accordingly
Requirements
  • 2+ years of field experience in environmental remediation and heavy haul equipment operations
  • Working knowledge of federal, state and local environmental regulations
  • Ability to manage 3rd party contractors in terms of safety, efficiency and execution
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
