Our ambition is to help our clients succeed by providing solutions that add value to their environmental, natural resource and infrastructure businesses. We have more than 2,100 highly qualified consultants in more than 90 offices around the world.

At Geosyntec, we highly value the hiring of people who are recognised as experts in their fields, who are innovative and eager to grow. We continue to grow in Europe with numerous new hires and are now looking for environmental professionals with experience in our sector to join a newly establishing team in Finland, with environmental, mining and geotechnical practices.

Specifically, we are looking for environmental specialists with experience in the preparation of environmental permitting and assessment projects and mine closure in the context of Finnish mining legislation. Our new colleague will also have the opportunity to work with a multidisciplinary network of experts in our offices in Europe, North America and Australia.

Within Geosyntec's European operations, we work for both private and public clients. Examples of our projects include obtaining environmental permits, soil quality studies, risk assessments and remediation investigations of contaminated sites, environmental strategy consulting, including EIAs and environmental audits, sustainable development and technical services (from exploration to remediation) related to mining and industry.

Education and Licensure

Together with your colleagues, you will contribute to the construction of our mining business in the Nordic Region, Europe, North America, and Australia. Your role will be to interact with clients, write tenders, direct responsibility for the assigned project from start to finish and ensure that they are always carried out with adequate quality. You will lead the project team, develop junior practitioners, and play an important role as an expert and main advisor to our clients.

We would like you to have experience in the preparation of permitting processing reports, environmental impact assessments, in conducting risk analysis, in the development of mine closure projects and in the preparation of tenders or detailed design documents of works, in the dimensioning and design of geostructures and in supporting contractors. If you have experience in ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) type audits, for example in industry or mining, it will be considered an advantage.

Depending on your experience, training and ambition, you will naturally have great opportunities to shape the role that best suits you and challenges you as an individual, but also develops us as a team and as a company. You will work on a wide variety of projects for our clients, both in the private and public sectors, together with a group of colleagues with 10 to 30 years of experience in the environmental field, both nationally and internationally.

Collaboration and mentorship at national and international levels are the foundations of our corporate culture; you will be able to work closely with experienced consultants in our field internationally who will support you in the development of your career and in the construction of your professional networks within the Geosyntec Group.
