Kipsu is designed for service teams to connect in-the-moment with their customer, unearth organic feedback (both positive and constructive), and better understand resident satisfaction before it appears in surveys and is no longer addressable. Kipsu has established history in the hospitality industry and is at the beginning of their journey of entering into the residential housing space.

THE OPPORTUNITY
Kipsu is seeking a Market Development Representative to join our Living Environments team who is ready to roll up their sleeves and join a scrappy, not-yet-totally defined team with big goals and energy to match. This role is a hugely important part of our investment into moving from our established space of hospitality to our next emerging market: Residential Housing. 

No role on the team is contained to one lane- everyone on the team touches the full cycle of the customer from beginning to end and shares in the ownership of that relationship. The role, however, will primarily own the first stages- helping us drive new conversations with potential new customers through email, LinkedIn, phone, and content.

WHAT YOU’LL DO
Your responsibilities will include:
  • Reaching out regularly to our target contacts to generate new meetings for our sales team
  • Learning our market, brand, and value proposition to communicate to prospects
  • Working with our sales team to continuously improve our sales process by testing and implementing new marketing messages
  • Analyzing data on response rates, demo rates, open rates or other data in order to continuously improve our outbound marketing strategies
  • Assisting with 1-pagers, decks, and more to help support the sales and marketing process

Successful candidates:
  • Are happy with a role that changes all the time- we are in the early stages so no two days are the same and processes are still undefined
  • Know this is not always a 9-5 job- We are working to build something and take ownership in that
  • Want to make a difference and have an impact
  • This is a collaborative role that is not meant to be done on an island- not a traditional coin-operated sale
  • Like to solve problems and make incremental improvements every day
Extra pluses for:
  • 1 to 3 years of experience
  • Experience in a startup company, organization, or non profit of less than 10 people
