JOB SUMMARY:

This position is a full-time exempt position. This position is primarily responsible for training and developing personnel within the environmental department: to include administrative functions, utilization of system applications, training in environmental estimating and project management, and general industry knowledge.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Duties will include, but are not limited to: 

  • Conduct training sessions for a specified number of new or current project managers.  This will involve both in-person and online training.
  • Work alongside GMs, PMs, and sales staff in the growth of environmental revenue and margins in each assigned branch to hit service line financial standards.
  • Travel to various offices for training and ride-alongs.
  • Be available to field questions from any project managers and technicians in the region.
  • Assist trainees with scoping the damages on site, estimating on a database, and submitting to the insurance company/property management company for approval.
  • Work with project managers to create contracts, set budgets, find appropriate subcontractors, schedule the work, inspect the work for quality, invoice and collect payment and ensure customer satisfaction. This could include meeting with homeowners/customers on job sites.
  • Ensure trainees understand the Jenkins Restorations business model of Revenue Recognition.
  • Assist in developing new or existing subcontractor relationships at the branch/regional level.
  • Ensure JES personnel understands the parameters of estimating in relation to different insurance companies and TPA’s.
  • Work alongside General Managers in oversight and growth of the environmental department.  This position may also be involved in the hiring process of new project managers.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:        

Associate degree (A.A or A.S) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; two to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

                       

LANGUAGE SKILLS:                                                               

Must possess the ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Demonstrate the ability to write routine reports, correspondence, and the ability to speak effectively to customers and/or employees of an organization.

COMPUTER SKILLS:                                                      

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of industry related software such as Xactanalysis and DASH. Should be able to “touch type” and be familiar with software like Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.)

CONSTRUCTION EXPERIENCE:

To perform this job successfully, experience in the construction industry is essential. Prior experience in managing or estimating projects would greatly improve chances for success at Jenkins Restorations.

REASONING ABILITY:

Possess the ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to climb roofs, which includes being able to carry a 28’ ladder from their truck and setting it up at the roof line of the associated property.

The employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear and must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

This position will be based in an office environment with visits to residential construction work sites.

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Safety equipment is furnished.

 

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:

This position will require some travel to regional offices, to support in-person training and jobsite visits. This will include spending time on site to support in-person training and visiting jobsites as needed with project managers in training.
