We’re looking for a talented full-time Product Manager to help execute the strategy for our Robotics squad. The ideal candidate is excited to use their hands on engineering and/or robotics chops to reshape many core“last mile” use cases of solar farm asset management, while growing in the craft of product management. In this role, you will work at a fast, startup pace. The role will push you outside of your comfort zone by combining product sense, robotics experience and real-world conditions. For example, one week you may be doing discovery with users and building a go-to-market strategy for a new feature, then the next two weeks you may be coordinating with our team in the field and testing at a utility-scale solar farm.
The right candidate for this role will be able to juggle competing priorities, enjoys an outdoor adventure, is excited to travel as needed, and is resourceful.
Responsibilities
- Drive product strategy and execution for a team prototyping, building, and testing software that interfaces with robots and drones
- Travel to job sites, labs, and conferences to achieve goals and share industry knowledge
- Build relationships with manufacturers, technology integrators, and first movers in the solar industry
- Deep dive with users to understand their problems, needs, preferences and business context
- Lead product development efforts for your squad through continuous discovery, development, go to market and iteration
- Be the expert on your squad’s products, their function and why they are important to the success of our customers and our business
- Communicate and collaborate often with other Raptor Maps teams in support of each phase of the development cycle
- Own and develop your understanding of the rapidly growing and evolving solar power industry, informing your analysis of the squad’s opportunity space
- Help maintain a product roadmap by synthesizing product signals and weighing priorities
- Generate and maintain documentation in support of your squad’s products

- Demonstrated ability to make decisions informed by qualitative and quantitative data

- Ability to learn and speak the language of customers and cross-functional team members(engineering, design, operations, sales etc.)
- High empathy levels, collaborative spirit and strong alignment with our core principles
- Must be primarily located in the contiguous US

Preferred Qualifications
- Startup experience
- Understanding of utility scale or commercial and industrial solar technology, project development, operations and maintenance or finance
