About the Global Campaigns: Temporary Project Manager 

The Global Campaigns Project Manager will play a crucial role in supporting 350.org's global and regional teams to create and deliver impactful campaigns and projects. 

There are two primary areas of focus for this role. The first involves coordinating the delivery of 350’s finance campaigning objectives, with a focus on climate finance and investment in renewables. Secondly, the role involves supporting regional teams to develop and deliver flagship campaigns that mobilize support and build momentum for the implementation of new, renewable energy projects that prioritize justice for communities.

Working closely with Regional Campaigners, the Global Campaigns Project Manager will integrate country and region-specific campaign strategies with global campaign approaches and narratives. They will actively foster collaboration across teams to find and make the most of opportunities for uniting people worldwide in impactful actions, and will coordinate quick and effective rapid response outputs to world events and political shifts.

The Global Campaigns Project Manager will create opportunities for campaigners across 350.org to connect, share strategies and work together, building a strong pool of knowledge and innovation within the organization on Renewable Energy and Finance campaigns.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Global Campaigns Team and Regional Teams to bring people around the world together for powerful, collective action on campaigns.
  • Work closely with Regional Campaigners to identify opportunities for teams to influence targets and shift public narratives.
  • Collaborate with the Global Campaigns Team and Global Digital Campaigning and Organising Team to run effective digital campaigns that answer to Finance and Iconic Renewable Energy Campaign objectives.
  • Support budget management and reporting
  • Create and manage project management systems and documentation to support campaign design and delivery
  • Hold spaces for 350.org’s campaigners to connect, share strategies and coordinate, creating a strong body of expertise and innovation on campaigning within 350.org.
  • Engage in initiatives that foster team collaboration, including meetings, trainings, retreats, and special projects, support the development and running of 350’s campaigning ‘Community’, made up of campaigns staff across the organization.
  • Collaborate with other teams, especially the Trainings and Organizing teams to develop finance & RE campaigns materials and workshops
  • Support/input on analysis of the political, policy and economic context of renewables campaigns underpinning campaign projects.

Required Qualifications 

  • At least 3 years experience of managing international campaigns in humanitarian or development work, climate justice, social justice, human rights or related work. 
  • Experience of campaigning in countries in the Global South.
  • Excellent project management skills and experience.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to cultivate and establish partnerships with colleagues.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to translate complex data into clear and simple messages for a wide range of audiences.
  • A demonstrated understanding of and commitment to justice, equity, diversity and inclusion (JEDI), anti-racism or anti-oppression work. Ability to manage across differences and work effectively with people from diverse racial, ethnic, class, age, gender, and sexual orientation backgrounds. 
  • Comfort and ease working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong ability to manage and work with remote teams from across the globe.
  • Ability to work comfortably in English including the drafting of documents and having work conversations.

Preferred Requirements: 

  • Understanding of how digital campaigning and storytelling can be used to further campaign goals and how to work effectively with digital staff on campaigning projects.
  • Experience in analyzing emerging trends and opportunities, and building strategies and tactics for global and regional campaign, movement building and mobilization. 

Other Requirements:

  • This role may be required to travel domestically and internationally. 
  • This role is expected to work remotely with an ability to work across different time zones. 

We are looking for someone who is comfortable working both independently and in teams, highly responsive, and able to lead initiatives as well as take direction from others.
