Our team, Common Solutions, is responsible for common applications within Vattenfall IT landscape. IT4IT called in our company Vattenfall IT internal systems includes tools and solutions used by IT for the business of IT. These are: request management portals, BMC Helix, Atlassian, HP ALM etc.

We have a complex, multi-project ecosystem where all requirements need to be taken into account for a holistic, stable and compliant solution delivery. It also need to be managed keeping various stakeholder demands in mind.

Your main responsibilities as a IT4IT Solution Designer  

• Responsible to analyze and define business requirements for the IT4IT systems and landscape, with the focus on BMC Helix to enable effective delivery of business' needs and capabilities while ensuring that  technical, information, system and data integrity is intact
• Create functional specifications and acceptance criteria where design principles are applied as agreed and appropriate for delivery and maintenance. Documenting them properly.
• Ensure that the best possible technical solution is designed and delivered considering the overall system and organizational perspective
• Manage the business goals and scope of change initiatives in a complex multi project and multi business scenario without compromising on the internals needs for standardization or security
• Work closely with our development team to ensure that solutions are implemented correctly

Required experience / expertise:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
• 3+ years of experience in solution design in the IT4IT area
• Strong knowledge of IT4IT architecture and framework
• Experience working with clients to understand their requirements
• Ability to designing technology solutions based on business requirements, creating functional specifications, assessing the current software systems in place in order to identify areas in need of improvement, and overseeing development teams.
• Expertise in ITSM Platforms, Specifically BMC Helix
• Experience with other corporate tools is preferred: Atlassian, SNOW, portfolio management tools like CAT4
• Language – fluent in English

Location: Stockholm, Katowice or Gliwice
Travels: The position will require some travel between Vattenfall locations
