PPA Originator, Poland

Location: Warsaw

Working in Trading & Origination (T&O):  

As part of the Trading & Origination Department, the Origination division concludes non-standard, structured and often complex transactions in wholesale energy markets. Our local team across Amsterdam and Warsaw are responsible for PPAs and power origination in Poland and The Netherlands.

This role is for a passionate PPA Originator who demonstrates strong commercial drive and the proven ability to build and develop further our PPA business in Poland. 

• Play a pivotal role in the growth and business development of our portfolio of non-standard power, structured and complex PPAs and power origination deals across the Polish markets
• Develop and manage widescale counterparty / client relationships within the local Polish markets
• Develop full end-to-end negotiation of Power Purchase Agreements (both upstream and downstream), closely working on structuring and pricing with the Portfolio Management team
• Proactively explore the potential for new business opportunities, sharing with and learning from other Origination colleagues across the Statkraft business
• Develop market, commercial and regulatory analysis to support the business development activities

• Minimum 2 years of experience with PPAs or other complex power contracts preferably in the Polish energy market
• Strategic, commercially minded, and analytical
• Self-driven, with the ability to get things done
• Excellent negotiation and interpersonal skills
• Team player with a high level of personal integrity
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Fluent in English, proficient in Polish
