Title: Wind Power Technology Instructor

 

Bargaining Unit/Salary Level: MEA Faculty

 

Responsibilities: Northern Maine Community College is seeking to hire a Wind Power Technology faculty member. Job responsibilities include teaching lecture and lab courses, requisitioning for supplies, curriculum development, maintaining course information and grades on the College’s learning management system, and advising students. Regular travel will be required.  Evening and weekend classes may be required. This is a grant funded position through August 2025.

 

Minimum Qualifications: 3-5 years experience in the energy industry, preferably with significant experience in the wind energy field. Instructor will need to complete Global Wind Organization Basic Safety Training.  Instructors not currently holding a State of Maine Masters’ Electrician’s license will be encouraged to obtain licensure.  Associate’s degree in a related discipline required.  Bachelor’s degree in an energy-related discipline is preferred.
