Job Description

We are offering an exceptional opportunity for an accomplished Health and Safety (H&S) specialist to spearhead the establishment of robust health and safety support systems for our esteemed Danish managers and employees. In addition to this pivotal role, you will also take charge of coordinating Fire Safety protocols across our global common offices.

 

Joining our esteemed H&S Nordics team, you will assume a pivotal position in not only initiating but also maintaining comprehensive healthcare initiatives tailored specifically for Denmark. Your contributions will extend beyond regional borders as you extend support to our Corporate Staff Functions and Business Area Market managers and employees, providing them with invaluable knowledge, training, and standardized instructions.

 

Moreover, as the designated Vattenfall Fire Safety Coordinator for our global common offices, you will be entrusted with ensuring adherence to stringent fire safety measures worldwide. This multifaceted role offers a unique opportunity to make a significant impact on the well-being and safety of our workforce while playing a vital role in advancing our global safety standards.

 

Qualifications

Your role / what will you do? 
With Denmark as a key market for Vattenfall, the creation of this new position underscores the company's commitment to maintaining high standards of health and safety across its operations. As a member of the H&S team Nordics within Corporate Staff Functions, you will collaborate closely with H&S Specialists and Rehabilitation Specialists to provide comprehensive support to businesses and managers.

In alignment with Vattenfall's global objectives, our team actively engages in H&S projects that are determined either by national teams or by the Group Centre of Excellence. This collaborative approach ensures that the latest industry best practices are shared and implemented consistently across different regions, contributing to a culture of safety excellence within the organization.

In addition, you will play a pivotal role in coordinating Fire Safety measures for Vattenfall's common offices throughout the Nordic region. This role requires meticulous attention to detail and a proactive approach to ensure compliance with fire safety regulations and the implementation of effective prevention strategies.

Your tasks and responsibilities: 

  • Implementing and executing the World Class H&S strategy to ensure optimal safety standards company-wide.
  • Overseeing health care contracts and conducting thorough follow-up procedures to maintain quality care standards.
  • Strategically managing health initiatives, guaranteeing the full implementation of all health processes.
  • Maintaining a comprehensive legal register and providing support on legal matters related to health and safety.
  • Compiling and submitting H&S reports for various purposes such as Sustainability reports and monthly EGM reports.
  • Developing and disseminating common H&S instructions to ensure consistent safety protocols across the organization.
  • Coordinating H&S training programs and facilitating webinars and other support initiatives to enhance safety awareness and education.
  • Collaborating on international H&S projects, fostering cooperation and knowledge exchange on a global scale.
  • Establishing and overseeing systematic work environment tasks for all common offices, with a focus on identifying and implementing health and safety compliance measures in Denmark, including the creation of supporting structures to demonstrate compliance.
  • Serving as the primary point of contact for H&S matters in Denmark, liaising closely with RE&FM (Real Estate & Facility Management), People & Culture, management of different Business Areas, and the global H&S organization.
  • Taking charge of coordinating Fire Safety protocols for common offices throughout the Vattenfall group, ensuring adherence to safety standards and regulations.

Qualifications

Your profile / who are you? 
We are in search of an experienced individual with a demonstrated history of leading Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) initiatives, ideally within a large-scale global enterprise. A track record of driving transformative change is essential, complemented by a solid background in Fire Safety. While operational proficiency holds value, applicants with pertinent expertise in Fire Safety across various settings like hotels or similar contexts will be duly considered.   • A proven track record of competency and experience in Health and Safety legislation, demonstrating deep knowledge and understanding of regulatory requirements.
  • Previous experience, ideally within an international matrix organization, providing you with valuable insights into navigating complex organizational structures.
  • Proficiency in collaborating with international and culturally diverse teams, showcasing your ability to adapt and thrive in multicultural work environments.
  • Exceptional networking skills, enabling you to effectively engage with internal and external stakeholders and partners to drive collaboration and achieve common goals.
  • Fluency in English is essential, with proficiency in Swedish considered advantageous, facilitating seamless communication across various stakeholders.
  • Flexibility and willingness to travel as needed to fulfill job responsibilities and support organizational objectives.
