Our team excels in the origination and development of new wind and hybrid projects worldwide, leveraging both in-house expertise and strategic development partnerships.

 

We are seeking a Project Development Manager to join our team, reporting to the Vestas Development Lead for the UK and Ireland. This strategic role offers the qualified candidate(s) the opportunity to serve as a trusted advisor, aiding our team in securing contracts and delivering development initiatives across the region. This position is based in Dublin, Ireland.

 

Responsibilities

  • Manage and monitor project development agreements, ensuring quality assurance, stakeholder engagement (including grid operators and environmental agencies), budget oversight, and subcontractor coordination.
  • Support in generating new leads, developing investment opportunities, and shaping the regional development strategy. This includes market analysis, project development, partnership negotiations, and planning.
  • Conduct internal and third-party due diligence, with hands-on involvement in financial modelling and project management (e.g., using Primavera).
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders and prepare high-level presentations and documents for decision-making processes.

 

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in the Irish energy sector, with a focus on wind or PV project development.
  • A degree in Business or Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, or Management) is required.
  • Fluent in English; proficiency in additional languages is highly beneficial.
  • Strong initiative, commitment, and the ability to influence and collaborate effectively across various organisational levels.
  • Experienced in procurement of development services and negotiation of commercial agreements for project financing.
