 Freedom Solar Power is looking for a Service Solar Installer to join our team! In this role, you will be a part of a crew who is responsible for detaching and reinstalling 1kW – 30kW solar systems on residential homes.  The ideal installer is hard-working, motivated by meeting goals, and great at working with their hands. You are someone who takes pride in your work, thrives working in a team environment, and enjoys being challenged.

Essential Functions and Duties:

    • Work with a team of installers on service solar projects
    • Safely executing quality workmanship, and timely completion of work assignments
    • Ensure safety policies are adhered to
    • Test voltages from 10V – 1000VDC / 120V – 480VAC
    • Assist with other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

    • Prior solar or roofing experience
    • A valid Apprentice Electrical License required
    • A valid Driver’s License and clean MVR are required to drive company vehicles.
    • A valid OSHA 10 is required; (OSHA 30 is preferred)
    • Residential solar installation experience recommended
    • Electrical experience is strongly recommended 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

    • Knowledge of basic trades: roofing, carpentry, plumbing, and metal framing
    • Read and understand blueprints, wiring schematics, and electrical instructions
    • Make field changes and communicate with the Project Manager
    • Good communication skills
    • Drive a truck and trailer safely

Physical Requirements:

    • Withstand heights, be on roofs, and climb ladders
    • Lift 50+ lbs.
    • Bend, stretch, squat, and lift.
    • Work in 100+ degree weather
