Overview 

Carbon Direct is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Operational Diligence Advisor to join our team. As an Operational Diligence Advisor at Carbon Direct, you will play a crucial role in conducting deep project diligence for high-profile clients across various carbon dioxide removal and reduction technologies. You will focus on assessing operational processes, project assurance issues, and market strategies to ensure the successful implementation of decarbonization initiatives. This role will address client concerns and questions, providing them with the confidence they need to make informed decisions about their sustainability efforts.

Responsibilities 

  • Deep Project Diligence: Conduct comprehensive assessments of client projects to evaluate their feasibility, risks, and potential for success in achieving decarbonization goals.
  • Technical Expertise: Leverage your expertise in various technical areas related to decarbonization, such as carbon removal technologies, renewable energy systems, and sustainable practices, to provide valuable insights and recommendations.
  • Market Strategy: Analyze and optimize client go-to-market strategies, ensuring alignment with industry best practices and market demands.
  • Operational Efficiency: Identify opportunities to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness within client projects, streamlining processes and maximizing resource utilization.
  • Project Assurance: Develop and implement rigorous project assurance frameworks to mitigate risks and ensure the delivery of successful outcomes for clients.
  • Client Engagement: Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, addressing their concerns and questions related to project diligence and providing strategic guidance throughout the engagement.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with internal teams, including project managers, technical experts, and business development professionals, to drive alignment and ensure seamless project execution.
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in decarbonization, continuously seeking opportunities to enhance our operational diligence processes and capabilities.

Qualifications 

  • Masters degree in engineering, environmental science, business administration, or related field.
  • Extensive experience in project management, operational diligence, or related roles, preferably in the decarbonization or renewable energy sector.
  • Proven track record of conducting deep diligence assessments for complex projects and delivering actionable insights and recommendations.
  • Strong technical expertise in areas such as carbon removal, renewable energy, energy efficiency, and sustainability.
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to synthesize complex information and communicate findings effectively to diverse stakeholders.
  • Strategic mindset with the ability to identify opportunities for operational improvement and drive meaningful impact.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships and influence decision-making at all levels of an organization.
  • Self-starter with a proactive and collaborative approach to problem-solving

Salary

$130,000-$159,000
