We're supporting our Confidential Client, who is seeking an Environmental Laboratory Manager to drive excellence across a network of three environmental (non-medical) laboratories. This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll oversee daily operations, support quality initiatives, and guide a high-performing team.
What You'll Do
You'll play a key role in keeping our labs running smoothly, efficiently, and accurately. Your responsibilities will include:

Overseeing laboratory operations, scheduling, and production output

Leading and supporting laboratory staff, fostering growth and development

Supporting QA/QC processes, including document control, corrective actions, audits, and SOP reviews

Coordinating sample receipt, analysis, and reporting workflows

Ensuring equipment maintenance, repairs, and calibrations are completed on time

Monitoring PT schedules, DOCs, and other critical lab processes

Managing consumable inventory and ensuring operational readiness

Reviewing and reconciling invoices for accuracy

Overseeing subcontracted work to ensure the timely delivery of results

Collaborating with customers and attending industry meetings as needed

Driving clear communication across multiple lab locations
What You Bring
Education & Certifications
-
Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or related scientific field

3+ years of lab management experience
-
Certifications in accounting, HR, or office administration are a plus
Experience
-
Background in a commercial laboratory setting

Hands-on experience with LIMS systems, sample receipt, and analysis

Familiarity with AIHA and/or ELAP audit requirements preferred

Proficiency in MS Office applications
Knowledge

Strong understanding of laboratory operations and quality control processes

Solid technical and computer skills
