The PV Codes and Standards Coordinator Position
Sunnova Energy is searching for a PV Codes and Standards Coordinator to support the PV Codes and Standards Engineers and Project Engineers to ensure the satisfaction of the photovoltaic systems project milestones and requirements. As part of this position, the PV Coordinator will be responsible for reviewing and creating shade study analyses that align with the design standards of residential PV systems. The second part is to the position is to effectively communicate with internal sales and dealer support to resolve issues, remedy, and provide aid through the lifecycle of the construction process.

PV Codes and Standards Coordinator Responsibilities
· Develop work breakdown structure of engineering processes and prepare diagrams, graphs, and charts to analyze problems.
· Provide monthly reports of dealers’ performance and trends
· Ensure all engineering-related training documents are up to date
· Support senior staff and ensure the satisfaction of PV system project milestones and requirements
· Oversee and report performance and progress through analytical techniques to validate cost and performance of the engineering department and engineering
service providers
· Create shade study analysis for preliminary designs and post-installations.
· Provides administrative problem-solving support to the operations staff, dealers, and customers; escalates unresolved or complex issues
· Provides instruction to dealer support on Sunnova Engineering processes and procedures
· Provides a seamless operational process executing strategy; participates in discussions with the operation management regarding the goals set
· Auditing, creating cases, and pushing the systems where Engineers require a Technical Remediation
· Perform other duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements
· Associate’s Degree and/or minimum of 3 years’ experience in the solar industry
· 3+ years’ experience as a Project Controller or Engineering Assistant in the engineering, design/build, EPC or energy sector
· Working knowledge of basic engineering functions and design principles in the fields of structural, mechanical, and electrical engineering. Must also have skills to complete multiple engineering and design fabrication projects simultaneously
· Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Google Docs, Sales Force and other tools

Preferred Qualifications
· Bachelor’s Degree
· Familiarity electrical line diagrams
· A background or familiarity with PV (photovoltaics) and battery storage projects.
· Experience or familiarity with computer-aided design (CAD).
· Experience with PV shade analysis software.
· Salesforce experience.

Additional Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
· Familiar with the National Electric Code (NEC)
· Strong problem-solving skills
· Familiar with residential construction
· Ability to read construction documents, includes drafted plans, sections, elevations, wiring diagrams
· Strong organization skills and communication, both verbal and written
· Ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external clients
· Proven ability to work well under pressure; organize, manage, and prioritize multiple deliverables
· General knowledge of local permitting requirements

Working Conditions
· Open office environment with ability to work remotely as required
· Willingness to work outside of regular hours as required to address business needs of strategic partners
· 10% estimated domestic travel
