The Green Assets Divison's goal is to create a significant, transparent, financially sound green asset portfolio (consisting of solar PV and onshore wind power plants), resulting in positive shareholder return with reasonable risk profile via deep understanding of the energy markets. We are dedicated to build a 2000+ MW – geographically and technologically diversified – green portfolio by 2026 in Europe.

Our new colleague will drive and support the technical deliverables of MET Green Assets’ renewables projects – primarily focusing on photovoltaic projects in Romania -, and provide coordination from project development, construction to putting the assets into operation. The position is based in Budapest, Hungary, however, the work location will be flexible between Hungary and Romania.

Job Description

  • Project management from the investor’s side – driving planning, licensing, construction and other technical work processes to realise the company’s renewable energy projects, 
  • Tendering, preparing and managing contracts related to the construction of the company’s renewable energy projects, 
  • Evaluating and supporting the technical side of renewable projects’ business development, 
  • Supporting renewable energy projects’ commercial and technical operation optimisation, 
  • Analysing, evaluating and preparing the company’s business development projects for contracting, 
  • Preparing and analysing studies and evaluations related to the industry, 
  • Keeping in touch with partners, subcontractors, authorities, 
  • Supporting and tracking the internal approval process for projects and transactions, 
  • Performing other additional tasks related to the job. 

Qualifications

  • Min. 3-5 years experience in renewables project development and construction management, preferably in Romania, 
  • Solid understanding of the technical and economic aspects of Renewables Power Plants, 
  • College/ university degree in Engineering, 
  • Fluent in English, preferred if our candidate also speaks Romanian and/ or Hungarian, 
  • Any additional language knowledge (e.g. Spanish, German or other European language) is an advantage, 
  • We are looking for a motivated new colleague who is a team player, proactive, capable of working independently, and has great problem-solving and stakeholder management skills.
