Job Description

The role of Delivery Director is a role representing the totality of Project Delivery Unit activities within Germany.

You will play an important role towards the Asset Owner and the business and project development teams within their country with the aim to collaborate and contribute to value creation throughout the lifecycle of projects across all technologies.   

You will be responsible for safeguarding and development of team members in Germany, coordination with central teams and other regions, and for assignment competent resources to project teams.   

You, as the Delivery Director, will be accountable for delivery of projects within the Wind, Solar and BESS business lines and in line with the project governance principles of Statkraft.   

Development:

Ensure best possible coordination with Asset Owner(s) and the in-country development teams in providing expertise and technical capacity as required for projects during embryotic and development stages. Coordinate technical development support across all project types. Liaise back with management for access to resources outside own country. Ensure involvement and use of resources from central functions (Technical, PMO, HSSE).   

Project execution: 

Assume role of Project Manager/Programm Manager or delegated Project Owner’s Representative as per Statkraft Project Governance and Capital Project Model within her/his designated Technology line Actively support other PM/PORs responsible for delivery of projects in the other line(s). Ensure proper competence and resources to project teams responsible for delivery of projects.

People:  

Acquire, assess and develop technical and project management capacity to service the totality of business needs within Germany. Liaise with and ensure support from all parts of the business to cover expert needs and fringe capacity, as well as independent assurance.   

Qualifications

  • Are you a senior manager with a strong background and experience in project development and execution/construction management?
  • Do you have a proven track record of leading large capital construction projects with high standards of safety, time, cost, quality and risk management?
  • Do you have excellent relationship-building skills with internal and external stakeholders, contractors and suppliers?
  • Do you have the leadership skills to develop people within your own organization and across Statkraft?
  • Do you have a proper understanding of the best-practices and governance principles of Statkraft and the ability to deliver and guide others to meet high expectations and performance standards?
