Here's how a Solar Proposal Coordinator for our US Head Office office contributes to our team:

Responsibilities

  • Under direction, completes layout and production of proposal material with a contemporary style. 
  • Produces a compliant, professional proposal that meets all requirements. 
  • Accurately proofs, edits, and rewords text to deliver a compliant, error-free submission on time. 
  • Assists with proposal planning process, including review of client requirements, development of proposal outline, and creation of timeline/assignments. 
  • Supports client background research, identifies questions, concerns and potential risks to inform the strategic visioning and proposal planning stage of the process. 
  • May develop and maintain proposal tracking matrix. 
  • Schedules and participates in the proposal strategy and planning sessions. 
  • Assists with preparing a proposal plan/strategy, including a comprehensive “Responsibility Matrix” mapping specific deliverables to proposal stakeholders, deadlines, and functional/technical requirements. 
  • Assists with tracking and maintenance of communication and assignments among all team members (local and remote stakeholders). 
  • Under direction, assembles/reviews responses for compliance, accuracy, and content, and participates in review sessions to ensure integrity of content. 
  • Identifies interview requirements. 
  • Develops stakeholder relationships. 
  • Values and models the solution provider and profitability culture.
  • Other duties as required. 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, journalism, or equivalent preferred. 
  • Association of Proposal Management Professionals (APMP) foundation certification, Certified Professional Services Marketer (CPSM) certification, or equivalent is preferred. 
  • 1 year experience as a proposal coordinator or in a related role (communications, marketing, visual communications). 
  • Demonstrates project management, organizational, and time management skills to effectively establish the priority and scheduling of work tasks. 
  • Strong attention to detail, good judgement, and ability to problem-solve. 
  • Strong verbal, written, and visual communication skills. Ability to produce grammatically sound written communication. 
  • Working knowledge of proposal fundamentals and best practices. 
  • Ability to learn government procurement processes (BLDGS). 
  • Ability to collaborate on a team to achieve a positive result. • Ability to adapt to different team/pursuit dynamics. 
  • Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to work with a diverse group sensitively, tactfully, and diplomatically. 
  • Ability to develop, influence, and maintain effective stakeholder relationships. 
  • Strong proofreading skills. 
  • Ability to participate in a lean, quality pursuit process and strategy session. 
  • Basic business acumen with an understanding of industry practices and new developments (construction process, delivery models, contract types). 
  • Ability to learn construction terminology and readily grasp concepts and technical processes. 
  • Ability to maintain a high degree of professionalism and integrity.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Cloud, and other relevant marketing software systems.

 

The salary range for this position is between $58,720 and $73,400 per annum, based on experience and qualifications.
