Qualifications

• Engineering graduate with at least a bachelor’s degree in relevant Engineering/Physics/Meteorologic fields from an accredited and reputable University. Master’s degree is an advantage,
• Preferably experienced in renewable energy project development, feasibility assessment, and technical analysis,
• 3-5 years of relevant work experience as a minimum,
• Strong understanding and experience in following; wind turbine technology, wind resource assessment and design, wind farm due diligence. Wind experience may be onshore or offshore preferably both,
• Experience in implementing and managing onshore wind measurement campaigns is required,
• Proficiency in CAD and/or GIS design tools is required,
• Proficiency in wind resource assessment software such as Windographer,  WAsP, Meteodyn, WindPro and WindFarmer,
• Strong knowledge of R or Python programming language is highly desirable, enabling manipulation, analysis, and visualization of large datasets,
• Solid analytical and problem-solving skills to interpret complex wind data and derive actionable insights,
• Attention to detail is a must, and able to demonstrate sound engineering judgment,
• Strong interpersonal, prioritizing, and time management skills,
• Ability to work collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams,
• Interest in renewable energy trends and regulatory frameworks,
• A pro-active, enthusiastic, and commercially focused individual with a proven ability to collaborate an ability to work on own initiative and with strong report writing capability,
• Willingness to travel and potentially reside abroad as required,
• Strong knowledge of MS Office Applications,
• Active driving skills and driving license (B)
• Fluency in written and spoken English,
• Have strong cognitive and critical thinking ability.

Responsibilities

• Designing and managing site-specific measurement campaigns, incl. installation, overseeing data collection, and reporting of site measurement data from meteorological equipment,
• Performing analysis of measured wind data from meteorological masts and LiDAR devices,
• Assessing wind resources for utility-scale, onshore, and offshore wind farms,
• Performing various data analysis on wind and production data,
• Modelling of wind flow using linear and non-linear wind flow models,
• Preparing wind farm layouts under site-specific conditions,
• Conducting energy yield analysis, together with the associated uncertainty and losses,
• Contributing to our continuous improvement through R&D and tool developments,
• Leading in-house R&D and the development of tools and processes, ensuring effective knowledge sharing within the team, and taking significant responsibility for quality monitoring of work,
• Technical due diligence of third-party wind analysis and energy yield assessment reporting,
• Effectively communicating complex technical topics in a clear, understandable way to a wide range of stakeholders, representing the team at internal and external meetings,
• Support in preparing reports and presentations for executive-level stakeholders and banks,
• Awareness of the market and ongoing innovation in technology and research,
• Collaborate on academic papers showcasing practical insights, innovative solutions, and lessons learned from our wind resource assessment processes, aimed for potential scholarly publication,
• Involvement in the techno-economical analysis of the project,
• Assist in various stages of project development, capacity auctions, investment, operation, sales, and trading.
