Description
The Solar Repair Technician position is responsible for assisting the Solar Repair Technician Lead
with repairing and maintaining roof and ground-mounted solar systems. This person will follow all
company and safety policies and procedures.
Essential Job Functions
- Assist in loading and unloading company vehicles
- Work in a fast-paced, demanding work environment
- Install, repair, and maintain roof-mount and ground-mount solar PV systems including flashing, racking, module-level power electronics (Micro-inverters/Optimizers), array wiring, and junction boxes
- Work on roofs, ladders, crawlspaces, attics, and other residential and commercial areas
- Maintain a clean job site and work truck
- Interact with clients in a respectful manner
- Perform other related duties as required
- Follow all company and safety policies and procedures
- Obtain Fall protection certification from Click Safety (1.5 HR course provided by employer)
- Obtain Electrical Safety certification from Click Safety (0.4 HR course provided by employer)
- Overnight travel may be required
Requirements
- Be comfortable climbing a ladder and working on a roof
- Be comfortable with working outside in all weather conditions
- Good communication and interpersonal skills

- Ability to maintain company tools
Minimum Qualifications
- Basic understanding of hand and power tools
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repetitively
- Ability to climb ladders and work on roofs up to a 45-degree pitch
- Driver's license and good driving record
Salary Description
$18-$22/hr DOE Non-Exempt Hourly Position
