The Grid Services Engineer will support the development of projects by performing design activities including studies such as load flows, fault studies, dynamic and transient studies. 

• Solve specific technical questions and challenges that arise while designing and developing Greener Grid Parks
• Manage or undertake power system calculations and modelling
• Document design decisions in Design Basis Reports
• Check and review design reports and calculations from contractors
• Complete Data Registration Code schedules for grid connection applications;
• Draft employer’s requirements for contracts for synchronous machines, battery energy storage systems (BESS), civil and electrical balance of plant including transformers, cables etc
• Review single/key line diagrams for projects
• Input to project cost estimates and assess options for lowest costs
• Review and assess technical parts of tender responses

• Degree or higher degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline
• Experience in modelling / design / engineering of electrical projects
• Power systems calculations / analysis
• Use of power system modelling tools (e.g. DIGSILENT, PSCAD, Simulink etc.)
• Development of control systems
• Grid Code compliance
• Contract technical drafting including writing specifications
