About Us:
Inspiration is the world’s first specialist investment and asset management platform exclusively focused on accelerating the electrification of transportation in North America. We provide capital and turnkey Electric Vehicle (“EV”) fleet-as-a-service solutions to enable commercial fleets to “go electric” as easily, quickly and profitably as possible. Our company invests in, develops, and manages the real assets (including electric vehicles, EV charging infrastructure, and related real estate) that enable the electrification of transportation at scale. Backed by three of the world’s leading energy and infrastructure investors, we aim to dramatically accelerate fleet electrification in North America while building the leading pure-play, diversified EV infrastructure platform.

Your Mission:
Your mission is to facilitate the progression and execution of financial transactions on our 2-person Finance Transactions team. You’ll handle underwriting for new and current customers and corporate capital raising as we expand our EV and charging infrastructure portfolios. This includes examining customer information, analyzing risk, approving transactions, and the formation of corporate capital to efficiently support our growth. You will act as an essential liaison between our organization and finance functions.

Initially, you will be an individual contributor. As our Transactions Team continues to grow, there is potential for you to take on a leadership role and oversee a small team. You will report to Joe Eisenberg, our Vice President of Transactions.

The Legacy You’ll Leave:
As a result of your time in this role, you created sophisticated financial and risk models and collaboratively led and improved the transaction diligence and execution process with our internal and external parties. This resulted in you helping us create an extensive and diversified portfolio of customers that generated attractive financial returns for us.

The added bonus? Your efforts in electrifying fleets have made a substantial impact on combating climate change by reducing greenhouse gas emissions, paving the way for a decarbonized planet for future generations to enjoy.

What You’ll Be Responsible for In Your Role:

    • Build and manage analytical frameworks/models that enable successful customer transactions. E.G., deal pricing, financial/risk models, pricing forecasts, etc.
    • Investment approval process: Manage drafting of investment approval memos on customer and capital raising opportunities, including due diligence and quantitative risk/return analyses
    • Capital formation and asset management:  Prepare structured financial & tax models, investor pitch decks, and term sheets. Provide original critical thinking and quantitative analysis to optimize our capital stack

    • You are an expert at analyzing complex financial statements and identifying key metrics and trends therein to enable quality decision-making
    • You have an extensive background in conducting thorough diligence and evaluating different customer businesses to assess their potential viability

    • You understand vehicle electrification and transportation concepts; automotive, fleet, or energy experience a plus
    • You are an excellent problem-solver, communicator, presenter, and critical thinker with a talent for handling and supervising several tasks and projects simultaneously with a high attention to detail
    • You want to develop “practitioner-level” expertise in the markets in which we operate
    • You are a self-starter who can take guidance from others and own projects; works well independently and cross-functionally
