Location: Washington, DC. Our in-office team comes together to collaborate in our Dupont Circle office Tuesday through Thursday and works from home Monday and Friday.

Inspiration is the world’s first specialist investment and asset management platform exclusively focused on accelerating the electrification of transportation in North America. Your Mission: 
Your mission is to work with external financing partners and internal departments (e.g. Transactions, Accounting, Sales, Customer Success) to ensure seamless financial operations and portfolio management for the core assets of Inspiration’s business.  

You will report directly to Vince Plaxico, VP Strategic Finance

What You’ll Be Responsible for In Your Role:

    • Ensure accurate and timely execution of asset-level financial transactions with heavy focus on checklist management and post-closing operations 
    • Create and submit underwriting materials and draw requests for electric vehicle purchases with financing partners 
    • Build and maintain financial models for various financing partners including DCF as well as loan & lease amortization
    • Service multiple portfolios by ensuring accurate and timely repayments to financing partners including payoffs and refinancings  
    • Manage ACH/wire transactions for asset-level fundings as well as active monitoring of bank accounts and related reconciliations 
    • Create and document Treasury standard operating procedures and update as changes are required 
    • Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, and procedures in day-to-day conduct and supervision of cash management activities. 
    • Collaborate with other departments (e.g. Transactions, Accounting, Sales, Customer Success) to ensure seamless financial operations 
    • Prepare daily, monthly, and quarterly reports in accordance with regulations, covenants, and policies established by Inspiration, financing partners, and regulatory agencies   
    • Assist in the development and implementation of systems and processes 

Who You Are:

    • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or similar quantitative discipline  
    • 3-7 years of experience in a role related to asset finance treasury operations
    • Excellent analytical skill and precision attention to detail 
    • Strong knowledge of documenting or automating standard processes  
    • Exposure to commercial banking transactions and associated controls  
    • Excellent working proficiency with MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) including ability to write complex formulas in MS Excel 
    • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
