AFRY has been active in the Philippines since the 1970s. Formerly known as Pöyry Energy Inc., today we have over 70 staff consisting of engineers and specialists who have been directly involved in energy projects in the Philippines as a leading consultant for banks, investors and developers. We work on over 20 assignments yearly including feasibility studies, due diligence and as lender’s technical advisors and we provide services to the major power plant developers in the country with over 80% as repeat clients.

 

We have experts in solar, wind, biomass, hydropower and thermal technologies. We act as EPC Contractors and O&M Services Providers for selected power developments. We are the main Contracting office of the energy group and have the second largest AFRY power sector office in Asia.

 

We combine the guidance of foreign experts with local engineers' knowledge. This experienced multicultural team brings a versatile approach to domestic or overseas projects, performed at international standards. Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Prepare conceptual design and feasibility studies for onshore wind power and potentially other renewable power projects such as solar PV, offshore wind, battery storage
  • Prepare technical due diligence for potential acquisition or financing of onshore wind power and other renewable power projects.
  • Prepare energy yield analysis for wind power projects (onshore, offshore wind)
  • Assist Clients with wind power EPC tendering projects, negotiations with EPC contractors, and renewable power project development in general
  • Act as lenders engineer in wind power projects, doing construction monitoring and operations monitoring.

Qualifications

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Higher professional degree in engineering field relevant for Wind Power projects (M.Sc. or B.Sc.).
  • Good technical understanding of wind power technology
  • Capability to work in business development and proposal preparation part time
  • Prior working experience (4+ years) in onshore wind power sector is required
