We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our dynamic team as an Accounts Payable Specialist.
Job Description: Reporting to the Accounting Manager, The Accounts Payable Specialist will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our financial processes by handling vendor invoices and sales commission payments accurately and efficiently. The ideal candidate will have experience working with Salesforce.com, possess a strong attention to detail, and excel in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
  • Process vendor invoices and match them with purchase orders to ensure accuracy and validity
  • Verify and record sales commission payments accurately, ensuring compliance with company policies
  • Coordinate with vendors and internal stakeholders to resolve any payment discrepancies or inquiries in a timely manner
  • Maintain accurate records of all financial transactions related to accounts payable, adhering to established guidelines and best practices
  • Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities, including reconciliation of accounts payable and general ledger accounts
  • Collaborate with the finance team and provide support during audits
  • Monitor accounts payable aging and ensure timely payments to vendors
Position Requirements/Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred
  • Proven experience as an Accounts Payable Specialist, preferably in a construction or related industry
  • Proficient in using accounting software and ERP systems (experience with Salesforce.com is highly preferred)
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills to accurately manage complex financial data
  • Ability to prioritize and multitask effectively, meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with vendors and internal stakeholders
  • High level of integrity and confidentiality when handling sensitive financial information
