Role summary:

In this role, you will be responsible for sourcing and proposing the Bidders for assigned packages, under the direction of the Procurement Manager and the Senior Subcontract Manager. Sounds exciting? Read on.

What you will need to do:

• Be based at Site or Regional office and working under the direction of the Procurement Manager or the Regional Procurement Manager (Operational) and Senior Subcontract Manager (Functional).
• For assigned packages, source and propose the Bidders from registered Company approved vendor list and based on approved Subcontract strategy within the Project or Tender.
• Ensure that all Subcontractor Pre-Assessment is done in compliance with the procedure to improve the performance of company/project in Subcontractor selection.
• Coordinate with all relevant in-house departments to ensure all requirements are included in the bidding documents – including flow down of the Main Contract/Client’s requirements - and prepare/issue the RFQ to the subcontractors of the Bidders lists.
• Challenge requirements according subcontractors market and Project requirement.
• Maintain the Project Procurement Plan up to date.
• Have a close interface with the technical responsible and lead all technical / commercial / contractual clarifications with the subcontractors
• Perform commercial and contractual analysis, schedule evaluation of bids and incorporate technical evaluation from Construction/Engineering/Project Control or QA, QC & HSE.
• Highlight to the Procurement Management any discrepancies in Subcontract processes, identify related risks and propose actions to minimize such risk. Prepare and obtain signature of the Subcontract or Services Agreement according authorization matrix
• Participate to Kick off Meetings with Subcontractors, ensuring that all Contract terms and obligations are clearly explained and understood.
• Commercial and contractual management of the subcontractors including drafting and/or review of notices, preparation of correspondence (default), variations, claims, etc in coordination with the Contract dept.
• Day-to-day review and follow up on contractual rights & duties for each Subcontract. Notify the Subcontractors for any contract deviations and communicate the possible impact to the Project Manager.
• Coordinate with the Expediting, Quality Control and Logistic team throughout the post award to ensure a timely delivery.
• Manage and negotiate all Variation Orders and get approvals commitments amendments with the support of the Contract dept.

What you will need to have:

• BSC Engineering University degree in relevant field (Civil / Mechanical / Electrical or Instrumentation).
• Min 5-7 years’ experience as Subcontract Engineer with minimum 3 years in KSA.
• Work experience with an EPC contractor in KSA.
• Experience in large infrastructure and/or building construction projects.\
• Good communication, co-operation and analytical skills
• Good knowledge of ERP software and MS office
• Contractual skills and excellent written skills
