GPD’s Energy team is looking to hire a Utility Coordinator that is passionate about the renewable energy EV industry and wants to support our engineering design projects with utility coordination efforts.  This Utility Coordinator will focus on driving operational success within the project teams and client engagement.
 
Role Qualifications:
  • Minimum of an associate degree from an accredited institution in Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, Architectural or Business Administration.
  • Minimum of 1-2+ years’ industry experience.
  • Understanding of our industry disciplines within GPD: Architectural & Engineering, Structural Engineering, Site Development, Site Acquisition, Zoning, Permitting, Project Management, Geotechnical, Survey and Electrical Engineering. 
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word, etc.).
  • Enjoys collaboration and a teamwork mentality in a project environment.
  • Direct experience working with clients and/or project coordination.
  • Desire to establish connections with others and is seamless in communicating whether it is virtual, in-person or over the phone.
  • Highly effective leadership and influencing capabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Utility Coordination for the Energy team will include interacting with stakeholders to ensure all successful delivery of all services:   This includes A&E design, structural analysis, survey, environmental assessment, site acquisition, zoning, permitting, site walks, fiber planning, permitting and field services. 
  • Technical Coordination will drive project success: this includes construction documentation prep, permitting research, submittals, and researching design solutions and products in the EV Charging and Renewable Energy sector.
  • Client Relationship Satisfaction and Innovation is key to maintaining our growth and stellar reputation in the industry. This role requires a clear understanding of clients’ needs and how they translate into specific scope and reporting systems.  This person will look for opportunities to build client relationships and deliver on meeting project goals for the team.
  • Administrative Coordination will be crucial in successful development and adherence to Key Performance Indicators: this includes the communication and tracking of workflow tasks for the group, keep projects on schedule with consistent and open communication, and leading weekly calls with utility companies and clients.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
