Description

Standard Solar is a leading renewable energy company, focused on the acquisition of distributed-generation solar and battery storage projects.. Standard Solar is seeking a talented and highly motivated individual to support the Project Acquisitions group. This group supports project valuation, risk management, and investment decisions throughout the solar development lifecycle. This role will provide an opportunity to gain experience in solar M&A and development in an exciting, high-growth environment. Standard Solar is an experienced, growing company that acquires, develops, constructs, and operates distributed solar assets across the United States.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

· Manage and lead acquisition of projects and portfolios of projects, managing the due diligence, de-risking and negotiations and development activities by working with both partners and internal teams in areas including, but not limited to site acquisition, real estate and title, interconnection, engineering, survey, environmental, offtake, and policy

· Prioritize, coordinate, review, and track key development deliverables with internal teams and external legal, zoning, environmental, interconnection, and engineering consultants

· Manage and report project data as it pertains to budget, schedule, and deliverables

· Gather market intelligence and expand relationships with local government, utility, and other stakeholder groups to understand the project development and permitting processes

· Review and manage project contracts including purchase agreement, leases, interconnection agreements, and power purchase agreements to ensure compliance with their terms

· Transaction support for project financing and asset acquisitions

· The position may oversee multiple acquisition and development opportunities at the same time, each at varying stages

· Create presentations summarizing all project characteristics for hand-off to construction team after closing.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

· Four-year Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline

· 1-3+ years' experience required in renewable energy development and/or acquistions

· Project management, organizational, and analytical problem-solving skills

· Self-motivated with a high level of initiative and accountability

· Excellent interpersonal, communication, negotiation, and influencing skills

· Strong work ethic and ability to self-start in a fast-paced environment

· Organized, diligent, and able to manage multiple streams of information on an ongoing basis

· Ability to multi-task and work in a deadline-driven environment

· Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills

Work Environment

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. Interfaces with customers, vendors and the public. All employees, including Senior and Executive Management, Sales & Finance.

Physical Demands

Conducts work in in a professional office setting or off-site at company marketing events and trade shows.
