ABOUT THE POSITION:

The Technical Trainer will drive creation and execution of energy storage training programs in a way that is engaging and informative, to help transform the way we power our world. The position will work with internal/external customers to ensure training requirements are met for our products and services initiatives. This position will report to the Services Training Director. As the Technical Trainer, you will: 
•Prepare and deliver high caliber technical training presentations, webinars, worksheets, and workshops to internal and external customers. 
•Perform hands-on training on-site or at a training facility and include job performance measure evaluations of trainees.
•Maintain training content and revisions on Learning Management System (LMS) or other learning platforms and utilize reporting within the system.
•Liaise with subject matter experts regarding instructional design and product specific training.
•Provide feedback and input to documentation to include training content and technical manual or procedures
•Evaluate results of training programs and make recommendations on training material and methodology and implement actions to continuously improve

What will our ideal candidate bring to Fluence? 

•An undergraduate degree required with strong preference for technical degree. 
•3+ years related experience in electric utility or independent power producer within generation / operations / technical teams (preferably renewable energy as a technical trainer, senior operations & maintenance technician)/ commissioning.
•Experience using training content editing tools preferred.
•Strong understanding of business goals and standards for customer service.
•Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment.
•Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as follow-up
•Excellent MS Office; Primavera; SCADA Experience; Problem Solving skills.
•Creative skills to develop content, training methods and mediums.
•Open to new training and support technologies like AR, VR.
•Must be willing and able to travel up to 20% of the time in support of training schedules.
•English and German C1/C2 level required; other language is beneficial.
