Oversee yard, warehouse, equipment inspections, and conduct weekly safety meeting. Manages policy deployment in the areas of safety, employee relations, cost reduction and yard performance measures Responsible for keeping the work area, machines, and tooling inventory clean & organized and monitor proper preventive maintenance initiatives on the equipment. Responsible for managing the productivity and performance of the team. Applicant must demonstrate his/her ability to effectively lead, motivate and develop employees. Must exhibit effective problem-solving skills along with strong verbal and written communication skills. Has strong understanding of material identification and is able to ensure material is processed effectively and meets quality standards. Manage inventory, including transfer and onsite inventory while facilitating an organized and clean yard at all times. Must lead and support a culture of safety at all times, in compliance with corporate and OSHA standards. Maintain customer service as a top priority and assist in resolving any/all customer issues. Qualifications Minimum of 3 years of proven management/leadership experience. Ability to multitask within a highly dynamic, fast-paced work environment, with the ability to meet critical deadlines. Must have excellent customer service, communication, organizational and time management skills. Dependable and consistent work ethic. Must have the ability to learn facets of the scrap metal recycling industry. Computer experience required which includes Microsoft Excel, Word, Office and the ability to learn in house systems (Buy Back Pro). Ability to meet attendance schedule with dependability and consistency.
