JOB SUMMARY: The Chief of Administration/Business Manager is the principal advisor and management consultant to the Superintendent and park management team for administrative matters. The incumbent is responsible for advising the park management team and staff on all administrative matters in the park and guiding management and staff of the park toward effective management of the park's business. MAJOR DUTIES: Performs these functions and advises the superintendent and leadership team on the parks' policies, decisions, and actions in the areas of budget management, administrative services, planning, human resources, property, agreements and information management. Plans, analyzes, develops, and monitors the development of park-wide plans, programs, procedures, operating policies, internal controls and program goals. Coordinates, participates, and oversees negotiation of cooperative agreements with other Federal agencies, other government, public, private and non-profit institutions. Oversees the parks' revenues and spending in balance through authoritative advice. Possibly supervises and directs the work of a staff of specialists, technicians and clerks, and recruits and hires subordinate administration staff.
