GS-9 $57,118 - $91,873 GS-11 $69,107 - $111,157 GS-12 $82,830 - $133,326 MAJOR DUTIES: As a Grants Management Specialist, you will perform the following duties: Participate in negotiations concerning complex grant awards; provide financial assistance and guidance on grants and cooperative agreements; review grant applications for compliance with appropriate regulations; and prepare grant and cooperative agreement awards and amendments for the Grant Officer's signature in compliance with appropriate regulations. Determine appropriate funding instruments, including contracts, grants or cooperative agreements, under which the award will be made, in accordance with Departmental guidelines and regulations. Advises applicants and grantees on financial and business management issues relevant to their applications. Perform cost analysis on complex grant application; and reviews financial statements such as audit reports for completeness and compliance with terms and conditions, and grant award regulations. Provide authoritative input to Team Leaders, Grants Officers, and Branch Chiefs; mentoring and instruction to junior grants specialist; and support and authoritative guidance to assist grantee institutions regarding grant-related questions and problems, clarification of policies and procedures, or requests for additional information.
