Directs investigation of all environmental concerns and implementation of corrective actions for all the manufacturing facilities.
Surveys, compiles and analyzes data relating to environmental issues– prioritizes situations most critical and drives correcting/improving areas of concern.
Develops, designs, and implements environmental training for all employees.
Oversees needed environmental testing, analyzes results and determines action needed.
Manages and maintains compliance of all environmental permits at facilities.Prepares timely and accurate permit renewals.Negotiates permit renewals with appropriate state or federal agency.Incorporates new permit requirements into existing systems.
Establishes effective working relationships with regulatory agencies.
Represents the company during agency, internal, and 3rd party audits and inspections.
Establishes effective working relationships with the management staff in order to become part of management team in each facility.
Ensures that the Company’s environmental principles, policies, and programs are consistently practiced.
Responsible for involvement with new product development relative to environmental issues.
Knowledgeable and available to manage environmental emergencies.
Maintains working knowledge of new developments in the industry, government regulations and benchmarks data with environmental issues.
Oversees and maintains established ISO 14001:2015 Environmental Management System and certification.
Performs other job duties as assigned.

Has direct management oversight for the environmental engineer.Performs supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and practices.
Qualifications/Skills
Proven knowledge of EPA and other environmental regulations and general understanding of environmental control technology and production processes required.
Experience with Title V Air Permits
Communicates effectively with all levels of the organization; uses a variety of communication methods and tools.
Leads, develops, coordinates and implements plans and projects; communicates changes and progress effectively

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
Hazwopr, hazardous waste management and other pertinent Federal, State and Local regulations.Knowledge of PC operations including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and database management.
