Our paid 10-week summer internship program helps students gain valuable experience and develop business skills while learning the basics of commercial and industrial real estate. We offer internships in 15 departments including Capital Markets, Construction, Development, Financial Planning & Analysis, Investments, IT, Leasing, Property Management, Marketing and more.
Link is looking for actively enrolled juniors (rising seniors) who would be interested in an internship on our Sustainability team this upcoming summer. Summer interns will have the opportunity to become exposed to several markets and properties across the industrial spectrum and can expect to have close interaction with a tight-knit team.
The Sustainability Summer Intern will be responsible for supporting the Sustainability Team with the oversight of sustainability-related reporting, data management, and project monitoring. This position will be exposed to all facets of Sustainability.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Collaborate with various teams to implement sustainability programs and initiatives throughout the organization.
- Assist in data collection, analysis, and reporting for quarterly and annual sustainability reports, including ESG reporting, CDP, and GRESB.
- Support with data testing, manipulation and gap analysis directly related to periodic ESG reporting
- Support the development and implementation of sustainability policies and programs across the portfolio.
- Participate in strategic projects such as LEED certifications, health and wellness programs, and efficiency projects.
- Stay updated on evolving ESG trends, policies, and regulatory developments.
- Actively communicate progress and findings to the ESG team and other stakeholders.
- Engage in cross-functional team efforts, liaising with various management teams including development, operations, and construction teams.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Current junior (rising senior) undergraduate/graduate student at an accredited institution
- Pursuing a degree in sustainability, real estate, energy, civil engineering, or related field
- Strong interest in sustainability or renewable energy (no formal experience required)
- Basic knowledge of the green building industry, including the EPA ENERGY STAR Portfolio Manager System, LEED and ENERGY STAR certification processes, and key corporate sustainability/ESG reporting frameworks.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Strong work ethic and passion for sustainability.
- Ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Team player with strong creativity and problem-solving ability
- Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

Must currently be actively enrolled for consideration of internship
$30/hour represents the presently anticipated base compensation pay range for this position at Link. Actual pay may vary based on various factors, including but not limited to location and experience.
