Job Description

You will be part of Delta MCIS team, responsible for UPS and Li-ion battery customized solution preparation. Technical and commercial cooperation with sales, dedicated for UPS and Li-ion battery business. Work closely with clients and partners to understand requirements and to provide best solution. Understanding of complex technical aspects in UPS with Li-ion battery solutions and strong knowledge in electrical engineering segment. Technical and commercial role with customer facing requirements, critically important to develop business in the UPS, Li-ion Battery and data center market.

Some of the main responsibilities: 

  • Responsible for electrical discipline design regarding UPS and Li-ion batteries.  Capability to understand other disciplines in data center solutions (HVAC, structural, IT infrastructure, security systems etc.) for optimal tender response.
  • Close cooperation with sales, including preparation of quotations, solution presentations and solution development.
  • Communication with other Delta departments (Li-ion Battery BU, Data center solution team, Product line managers, Procurement and Service) to define technical solution addressing customer requirements in best way.
  • Strong knowledge in UPS and Li-ion battery product and solutions and ability to define UPS and Li-ion solution based on project/tender requirements.
  • Li-ion and VRLA battery sizing. Optimal battery selection based on requirements.
  • LV Switchboard design and requirements understanding. Single line diagram development and cost arrangement for LV switchboards.
  • Power busways arrangement, design and costing. Busway product understanding.
  • Collaboration with local partners to arrange other services requested by project/tender.
  • Developing diverse design documentation: power schematics, power calculation, general floor plan, battery calculation based on tender request.
  • Arranging Bill of Material and services required for proposal definition.
  • Communication with customer in order to design the best solution possible.

Qualifications

  • University degree in electrical engineering or mechanical engineering.
  • Uptime ATD certification.
  • TIA942 accredited designer or similar Data Center Design certification
  • 5 to 10 years work experience in electrical applications.
  • 3 to 5 years work experience in data center design or similar large and complex projects.
  • Experience in electrical design and documentation development.
  • Experience with critical electrical equipment: UPS, Li-ion batteries, busways, switchboards.
  • CAD software knowledge and MS office.
  • Solid communication skills, both written and oral, to work across multiple engineering and manufacturing teams to bring architectures and concepts to deployment.
  • Very good oral and written communication skills in English language
  • Customer interaction to transition thoughts and concepts into solutions and delivering that interaction through documented specifications
  • Possible business trips around region for customer meetings and technical discussions.
  • Time management and Internal and external customer interaction
