RER Solutions, Inc., is accepting resumes for a Technical Advisor (Sector strategist in transportation decarbonization) to support The Office of Clean Energy Demonstrations (OCED)’s mission to deliver clean energy demonstration projects at scale in partnership with the private sector to accelerate deployment, market adoption, and the equitable transition to a decarbonized energy system to join our superior workforce. The Technical Advisor will provide federal program support to the Strategy and Program Development office, a part of the Portfolio Strategy Division.


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support OCED’s leadership to advance the Office’s mission and programs
  • Serve as subject matter expert and advise government team on energy and infrastructure technologies and systems for the transportation sector
  • Support development and maintenance of multi-year OCED program plans and roadmaps in partnership with other DOE offices, agencies, and public and private stakeholders
  • Support strategic planning to facilitate the achievement of OCED's multi-year program including generating private industry interest in OCED projects
  • Support portfolio evaluation of current and planned OCED programs to identify any significant gaps and opportunities for expansion or amplification
  • Assist the government team with synthesizing information flowing from internal and external stakeholders, supporting decision-making, and ensuring execution of directives at Federal offices, National Laboratories, and industry partnership organizations
Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum of US Citizenship required to obtain client-issued Public Trust
  • Technical expertise in clean energy technology and transportation infrastructure
  • Experience with strategic scenario development and opportunity evaluation and characterization
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and experience in conducting risk versus payoff assessments
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and an understanding of fundamental business writing
  • Expertise in Microsoft Office Products (i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)

EDUCATION Master of Science (MS) or Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree
