Job Description

We are considering candidates in Lagos, Nigeria; Nairobi, Kenya and Kinshasa, DRC.

We are looking for a Head of C&I to lead and drive our C&I business development. PowerGen has C&I country teams in Nigeria, Sierra Leone, and Kenya and you will oversee lead generation, business development, client management, and customer asset management in those markets.

What you'll make happen: 

  1. Take ownership of PowerGen’s sales targets and support our country teams in developing competitive and professional proposals that outline all technical and commercial aspects of the proposed solution (and signing off on them)
  2. Personally overseeing or giving sales pitches to key customers across our jurisdictions.
  3. Develop strong relationships with new potential clients and our existing customer base for follow-on projects
  4. Lead the identification and analysis of new market opportunities (niche segments) to develop additional C&I ‘products’ for our country teams to execute on
  5. Observe trends in the C&I solar space to continuously improve PowerGen’s offer commercially and technologically
  6. Ensure that all country teams have access to high-quality tools and templates to efficiently and quickly develop leads
  7. Prepare dashboards, reports, manuals, process flows and content as required 
  8. Oversee work streams of direct reports

Qualifications

 

  1. Sales and business development
  2. Lead generation and pipeline development
  3. Sales management (ie. process, tools, and templates for the sales teams)
  4. Contract management
  5. Engineering design and technical skills
  6. Financial analysis
  7. French would be a strong plus
