Position Overview
As Specialist I, IT Onboarding you will be the primary person responsible for onboarding and offboarding employees, contractors and third parties for our organization. You will create and disable accounts, across multiple systems, and be responsible for the configuration of laptops and desktops for new hires. You will offboard employees as scheduled, sometimes outside of business hours, and ensure we receive equipment back from those employees. You will own all aspects of IT onboarding and offboarding of our users, creating documentation and performing training for your colleagues to act as your backup. You will present documentation to end users on their first day and perform day one IT training. You will build the desks for the new hires, installing monitors on desk arms and deploying equipment.
Responsibilities
- Adhere to the company’s values and behaviors.
- You will monitor our sharepoint site for upcoming onboards and offboards and ensure we perform those actions as scheduled
- You will run powershell scripts to create and disable accounts
- You will work closely with our vendor who will procure and ship computers and devices to end users. You will use Microsoft Intune to help prepare and manage the computers.
- You will also work to improve our documentation and process where we have issues or gaps
- You will work with your counterparts internationally to ensure they follow our process and meet their deadlines
- You will continually evolve our onboarding process and procedure to meet and exceed our business needs
- Perform Windows, Mac and mobile device software installations
- Work onboarding and offboarding related SD tickets as assigned.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Preserve and grow your knowledge of IT procedures, products and services.
Qualifications:
- Preferred Education: Bachelor’s Degree in an information technology related field
- 1-3 years related work experience with onboarding/offboarding or related
- Knowledge of computing and computer systems, hardware, software and peripheral equipment
- Technical certifications nice to have
- Experience with Windows PCs AND Android and iOS mobile devices
