Job Description
About the role:
As part of our Management Consulting Division, we offer cutting-edge software to selected energy companies. In particular, we are world-leaders in power market software, with our model BID3 used by utilities and transmission operators such as National Grid. BID3 is an electricity market model that uses advanced mathematical techniques to model the dispatch of power stations, market prices, capacity evolution, and all other important features of power markets.
We are looking for someone to join our expanding team of developers, with a focus on coding the BID3 market model, but also developing a range of other models that explore the net-zero future in gas, carbon and transport.
This role is primarily a software development role, but also we offer the opportunity to get involved in consultancy assignments in the exciting energy sphere. We have a very international team in Oxford and work closely with our teams in other countries across the world which will enrich your experience.
For more information about the BID3 power market model, please see afry.com/bid3
