Your Role:
As the EDS Wiring Design Release Engineer in EE department, you’ll be working with some of the industry’s brightest minds to ensure a successful product launch.
- Collaborate with domain functional leaders to successfully execute the electrical distribution systems
- Responsible for wire harness change management process, work with cross-functional team to ensure a smooth change approval process
- Root cause analysis and permeant resolution implementation using engineering judgement and best practices
- Participate and support in preparing and executing DFMEA and DVP&R
- Responsible for design and release wiring harnesses, resolving supplier issues and applying best practices to design
- Collaborate with vehicle PMO to ensure the wire harness timing is up to date, and focus on critical path
- Write engineering SOW, accurately estimating the milestone and resources requirements
- Cross-functional communication skills and experience are essential
- Interact with all engineering disciplines, purchasing, quality, manufacturing, marketing & sales, design, finance and accounting to ensure the program delivery on time
Basic Qualifications:
- Minimum of a Bachelor degree and 3+ years of experience in technical program/project management of electrical wiring harnesses EDS.
- 2 years of experience in OEM or automotive Tier 1
- Experience in automotive development processes, including design reviews, change management. ECR evaluation with the supplier(s), deviation requests, etc.
- Experience with 3D CAD and 2D drawing tools: Catia, capital siemens, zuken, etc.
- A proven track record of development and delivery of technical products.
- Individual contributor of design and development of complex electromechanical components is highly valued.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to facilitate meetings
- Experience in program management
- Self-motivated and proactive with critical thinking capabilities
- Proven knowledge + expertise, and passion for EV
- Good understanding from system to subcomponents in engineering development cycle
- Very organized with superior attention to details
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in wire harness development in OEM or automotive tier 1 supplier
- JIRA, Confluence skills is a plus
- SAP skills is a plus
Annual Salary Range:
$113,000 - $140,000, plus benefits and incentive plans
