Freedom Solar Power is looking for an organized and detailed oriented Inspections Supervisor to join our team. A solar Inspection Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the inspection process for solar panel and energy storage installations. This includes managing a team of inspectors, coordinating with clients and contractors, and ensuring that all inspections are completed in a timely and accurate manner.
Essential Functions and Duties:
Developing and implementing inspection protocols and procedures
Training and supervising a team of inspector technicians and coordinators
Scheduling inspections and coordinating with clients and contractors
Reviewing inspection reports and ensuring that they are complete and accurate
Maintaining documentation and records of inspections and repairs
Ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations
Identifying and addressing any issues or deficiencies in solar panel installations
Collaborating with design and installation teams to improve efficiency and effectiveness
Managing budgets and resources related to inspections
Carry out additional duties and responsibilities as needed or as directed by management
Flexibility to take on new tasks and responsibilities as they arise
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field preferred
1-2 years prior scheduling/project management experience
Prior solar/construction experience is strongly preferred
Must have Adobe Acrobat and Microsoft Office experience (including Excel and Word)
Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Knowledge of solar panel technology and installation processes
Knowledge of industry standards and regulations related to solar and energy storage
Ability to identify and troubleshoot issues or deficiencies in solar and battery installations
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics
Strong attention to detail and ability to produce accurate and thorough inspection reporting
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Ability to climb ladders and work at heights
Basic computer skills and familiarity with CRM, EAM, MRO software tools
Must be 21 years old, have a valid Driver’s License, and clean MVR to be approved to drive company vehicles
Physical ability to perform the duties of the job, which may include lifting up to 50 pounds, standing for long periods of time, and working in a variety of weather conditions
