Minimum Requirements:
- 10 years of relevant experience
- A Bachelor’s degree in engineering, science, or a related field
- Skilled in a specific EHS related specialization, such as air, water, land, OHS, wildlife
- Strong understanding of regulatory requirements in multiple jurisdictions
Responsibilities:
Operational Excellence Management System Improvement
- Manage Regulatory Compliance and Environmental Impacts key performance indicators and performance indicator dashboard development, data management and analysis for the enterprise
- Lead the community of practice for regulatory incident management across all sites in Suncor, including classification consistency
- Enablon Regulatory Compliance module management support including super user management and training
- Support for scheduled assurance activities and improvement of best practices, guidance and support documentation
- Uses deep knowledge of discipline or several job areas to generate innovative solutions to complex problems
Enterprise ESG data steward, including regulatory and environmental incident data management and input, including the Suncor Report on Sustainability development.
Additional accountabilities may include:
- Providing technical environment and regulatory expertise across the corporation through various processes, including the Designated Regulatory Authority program and the Suncor Policy and Regulatory Forum
- Regulatory compliance submissions to Alberta regulators
- Ad hoc environmental incident support
- Assists junior employees in carrying out simple assignments
Location and other Key Details:
- This is an office-based role. You will work out of our Calgary head office, located in the Suncor Energy Centre at 150 – 6th Ave S.W.
- Hours of work are a regular 40-hour work week, Monday to Friday, with the potential for extended work hours based on business needs
- Our business professional roles follow internal compensation guidelines and the pay band will generally be based years of experience and scope of work
