Summary of Role:
Solar energy is one of the fastest-growing industries in the US. Not only is going solar beneficial for the planet; for most Americans it also saves them money! SunPower offers solar to residential customers through many channels, from direct sales to customers to sales through our third-party Dealer network, to offering solar as an add-on for new home purchases. In order to succeed across so many channels, we must deeply understand the value that solar brings to each of our customers, as well as our cost structure to support each customers - and build our pricing strategy around these insights.
We are looking for an experienced Staff Product Manager to develop a vision and roadmap for our pricing and finance automation technologies. You will execute cross-functionally across technology, business, and finance teams to bring this roadmap to life. You are the single threaded technology owner responsible for assessing the current state of our systems, and identifying opportunities using a combination of robust metrics and deep process expertise. You will deliver on a series of immediate opportunities to improve our pricing controls and automation, and in parallel define the 3 - 5 year vision for a technology domain that is critical to the viability of our business. You will partner with key executives across SunPower including the Head of Pricing and Chief Financial Officer to deliver on strategic objectives and define what we build.

The ideal candidate will be an independent and curious thinker who can make convincing, information-based arguments and will never stop learning about their customers' subject matter and areas of complexity.
Key Deliverables in the first year:
•Deliver the next generation of SunPower’s pricing and project insights technologies by building new products and features to deliver immediate value, and defining/evangelizing a multi-year vision for this portfolio.
•Partner closely with operations and finance executives on ambitious goals to improve our pricing controls and automation, and improve our ability to drive project insights and reduce costs so that we can pass these savings to our customers.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:- Generate product insights to accomplish and prioritize features, functions, and new capabilities in a fast-growing business.
- Clearly articulate product decisions to executive leadership, users, the product team, internal stakeholders, and engineers
- Conduct post-launch user feedback sessions to support continuous software improvement
- Provide ongoing tracking and analysis of key product competitors
- Ensure the products we build are straightforward to use and have customer-centric user interfaces.
Required Qualifications:- This position involves regular communication with senior management on technical development, product strategy, status, and risks. Excellent listening, writing skills and very strong technical competency are essential.
- The role requires delivery and operation of a complex set of products at a very high-quality bar in a fast-paced environment.
- The ideal candidate has 10+ years of experience in both product management and in pricing, and possesses superior analytical abilities and product judgment.

Pay Range
$190,080 -$285,120
